It's an older community at over 30 years old, but they maintain things very well. We know that you want your senior loved ones to enjoy living in a community that cares for them. It was beautiful, but for me, being blind, it was too spread out, it was hard to get around, and I would get lost in there.
Caring.com is a leading online destination for caregivers seeking information and support as they care for aging parents, spouses, and other loved ones. This looked very nice on the outside, it is in next to a nunnery I think. There was a beauty parlor and cafeteria area. The apartment area was nice with a little kitchnette. We thought the area was very nice and clean. The neighborhood was not all that great though.

The only negative things i could say about this place is its appearance on the inside. Some things are a bit aged, and the apartments, while having everything you need could use a bit of remodeling or at least some tender love and care as they say. All in all, the residence is accommodating and gives off a laid back relaxed atmosphere. If they upgraded a few of their amenities, and revamped some of the apartments... The place would be on a higher level in my opinion.
They have places where you can sit down and rest. Behind the building that I would be in was an area where the residents do some gardening if they wished. They have a guard at the gate that tells you where to go. This facility is great in planning and providing its residence with many activities, such as movie nights, bingo, bbq's and holiday events. Meals are available for breakfast lunch and dinner, with a nice menu for each meal. From what i hear the food tastes good, and the servers are nice and mostly well mannered with the elderly.

Being a Catholic community, they have a large chapel and a lot of religious services. I'm not Catholic, but that doesn't really matter. They have an outdoor space for people who are interested in gardening and indoor activities. It appeared to be a very nice facility, well-run, and I was able to get a lot of information, or to make a decision on where my mother wanted to go.
There's a spirit in this place that cannot be found anywhere else. Independent or Assisted Living, every resident is treated with respect and given much love. The needs of all residents is the sole purpose of the entire staff.

First, it is close to my home so I can visit my brother any time. Also, my brother likes the place. He is very pleased with the place, so as long as he is happy, we are happy.
Apartments look great.hope to sell my house early next year.. Assisted Living can be an expensive senior care option, so cost is typically going to be a consideration when looking at alternatives. The average starting cost of this facility is lower than the average cost in the area.

We don't have any complaints with the services. They were able to provide anything that we asked for. For all of the holidays, they always have some little activities to make it very festive for the people who live there. But the surroundings were not dated. I really liked Dominican Village during my visit, but unfortunately my mom did not want to go there as of yet. The staff seemed caring, and the residents looked like they were happy. A place for seniors who need little or no assistance with activities of daily living. We know that you want your loved ones to enjoy living in a community that cares for them.
